As the story unfolds, Bad Chemistry unfolds with it. It’s great story-telling and smart journalism.
Aforementioned music video project is getting off the ground. Off The Record is an experimental video and audio project from WBUR to record random bands in random locations around Boston. Above is a video I helped shoot of Banditas. Here’s some others of Iron & Wine at the Boston Public Library.
Just wrapped up a breathtaking week shooting in Ireland for The Crest, an upcoming documentary from the director of the amazing A Band Called Death.
A really beautiful experience, and feeling quite lucky to have been a part of it. With less than a week remaining, we’re two thirds of the way to our Kickstarter goal. We’re feeling so much love, but we still need your support.
Check out the trailer above, and please donate!
UPDATE: we’re funded, thank you!!
Bad Chemistry is the result of a concept to meld folks from OpenCourt and Homicide Watch and collaborate to build something to effectively track the extremely complicated, costly, and unprecedented drug lab crisis in Massachusetts. After months of tough work, we’re live.
If you’re new to the story, the timeline is a good primer, and something I worked on pretty hard. We also offer a trove of primary documents, some quality data vis from Chris Amico, several sit-down video interviews (more to come), and solid reporting from Deb Becker.
Proud to launch it this week alongside a great team.
